Is Information Management Dead?
By Stephen Donahoe, Director, Information Management, CGI
In today’s outsourced, disposable society, public and private sector organizations may be tempted to trust technology to manage our information assets. In addition, if it were not for the requirement to comply, we might very well ignore Information Management (IM) all together! This session will present the argument that IM as a discipline may no longer be needed due to advances in technology. Driving factors behind IM, and generational and behavioural issues, will also be discussed. Audience participation will be encouraged so that the premise, “IM Is Dead”, can be refuted or supported.
