Dear members,

On behalf of the ARMA-NCR (Ottawa) Chapter Board of Directors, I would like to welcome you all to our new website!

Over the past several months, we have invested a significant amount of time and effort redesigning our website with the goal of creating a better online experience for you our members, our sponsors, and visitors from the Records and Information Management (RIM) community. Our website has been upgraded with a modern visual style and designed with the intention of making it easier to find news, current events, resources of interest, Chapter information, membership information, and ways to contact us. Hot topics or events will always be highlighted in the Spotlight area on the front page and news of interest to members and the community will be posted as it becomes available in order to keep you informed and up-to-date.

Our website has also been designed to enable you to interact with the IM community via our Facebook page and our Twitter feed all from one central place. Both of these social media tools are a great source of current events and information and we hope that they, along with the new website, will give you more opportunities to stay informed and connect with ARMA and the RIM community. If you are a Facebook or Twitter user, be sure to "Like" our Facebook page or follow our Twitter feed today! 

Moving forward, we will be looking to add to and update our website content as often as we possibly can. We encourage you get engaged by voting in the website opinion polls, contributing job postings or events of interest to the community. If you are member seeking new employment opportunities in the field, send us your resume so that we can post it in our Careers section of the website free of charge. In this, the year of our 40th Anniversary as the ARMA Chapter for the National Capital Region (NCR), we look forward to continuing to contribute to the local RIM community and hope that you will make our new website your desitination for all things RIM in the NCR. On behalf of the Board, we would like to thank you all for your ongoing support and hope to see you both at the Fall IM Days Conference (November 23-24) and at our 40th Anniversary celebration!
