Established by the ARMA NCR Chapter in 1998, the Ted Ferrier Award of Excellence recognizes an individual from the RIM field who has made significant contributions to their professional or local community. This year, ARMA-NCR would like to extend a warm congratulations to the 2018 recipient of the Ted Ferrier Award of Excellence, Archivist Anne Lauzon.
Anne Lauzon has been a member of the IM community for over 30 years. She most recently has been the lead archivist responsible for the transfer of legacy records of former municipalities to the City of Ottawa Archives. She has worked in various types of organization’s archives including the University of Ottawa and the Ottawa General Hospital. One of the major achievements of this year’s winner is her willingness and leadership in imparting knowledge which has facilitated in bridging the connections between the archives and records management communities. She has been a long supporter of ARMA NCR events as a both a participant and presenter. She is a person we should all feed proud to have as a member of our community. City Archivist Paul Henry described her contributions to the field as follows: "Anne’s commitment to ensuring that everyone involved in the creation, management, and stewardship of the City of Ottawa’s records has the tools and information they need to fulfill their responsibilities to ensure that yesterday’s records are accessible tomorrow.”
Please join us in congratulating Anne for all of her hard work and dedication to the field of IM.
